what's happened this week in HR?
Howdy HR friends!👋
Happy Friday, HR friends! 🙌
Time for the Friday 🖐️ ! Five articles, five takeaways. Five minutes away from the chaos to grab a coffee and get caught up on everything that’s been happening in HR this week!
This week's stories have one thing in common: the systems meant to make work fairer are pretty much doing the opposite. Algorithms are being used to lowball your salary, HR best practices are showing up as courtroom evidence, and a 6am email is apparently now an acceptable way to end someone's career.
Well at least the more visible these practices become, the harder they are to ignore, and that's where HR leaders have a real opportunity to do things differently.

Trying to figure out HR software can suck the soul out of even the most patient HR pro. Endless sales demos, “custom” pricing, and features that all sound the same.
That’s why I always recommend SSR’s free HR software matching service. They’ll ask what you need, sort through the clutter, and hand you a shortlist that helps you make a confident decision.
The best part? Rated 4.5/5 by 15,000+ HR professionals!
